Description
English: Veliko Tarnovo was the capital of the Second Bulgarian Empire from 1185-1396. In the 1980s the Patriarchal Cathedral of the Holy Ascension was rebuilt on Tsarevets Hill at the center of the 12th century imperial fortress.
