Description
English: 128 Dwelling Units (married accommodation flats) and an Integrated Sports Complex were inaugurated at Naval Civilian Housing Colony (NCHC), Powai, Mumbai by Vice Admiral Girish Luthra, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief Western Naval Command on 24 May 2017. Ex-Indian National Cricket Team Wicketkeeper, Mr Kiran More, senior Naval Officers and a large number of Defence Civilians with families graced the occasion. The two buildings inaugurated have 64 flats each, for accommodating 128 married Naval Defence Civilian families. The Integrated Sports Facility is equipped for playing Basketball, Volleyball, Kabaddi and Lawn tennis on artificial turf. Three cricket nets have also been provided. The facility has been set up for training Naval Dockyard Teams, Defence Civilians and their families aimed at grooming budding sportsmen.
