Title
Two new Nahal settlements were established near the Arab village of Sakhnin in the Galilee
Description
English: Two new Nahal settlements were established near the Arab village of Sakhnin in the Galilee.
One of them, Atzmon, is populated by members of Garin Moran and is affiliated with Ihud Hakvutzot Vehakibutzim. The other is Eshhar and belongs to the Kibbutz Hameuhad movement. The soldiers-farmers are living in tents, but construction has begun on permament housing. A Defence Ministry source said no land had been expropriated for the new settlements as both are on state-owned land. During the last three years, five Nahal settlements have been established in Galilee and two more will be added in coming weeks. Photo shows: The official ceremony of oening the new Nahal settlement Atzmon.
