Description
Svenska: Tyresö kyrka i Stockholms län. Painting (on left); Epitafium över Gabriel Gustafsson Oxenstierna (1587-1640), detalj. Epitafiet, som tillägnats riksdrotsen sitter ovanför sakristiedörren. I nedre delen av epitafiet finns Gabriel Gustafsson Oxenstiernas porträtt, som anses vara utfört av Cornelius Arendtz och sattes in 1641. Annars är epitafiet en altartavla, som var svenskt krigsbyte på 1620-talet, altartavlan är möjligen från Frauenburg (Frombork) i Polen. Den stora målningen föreställer Kristi förklaring. Den är en kopia efter den italienske renässanskonstnären Rafael.
English: Tyresö church in Stockholm County. Epitaph on Gabriel Gustafsson Oxenstierna (1587-1640), detail. The epitaph, dedicated to the Riksdrots, sits above the sacristy door. In the lower part of the epitaph is Gabriel Gustafsson Oxenstierna's portrait, which is considered to have been made by Cornelius Arendtz and was inserted in 1641. Otherwise, the epitaph is an altarpiece, which was a Swedish war booty in the 1620s, the altarpiece is possibly from Frauenburg (Frombork) in Poland. The large painting represents the "Declaration of Christ". It is a copy by the Italian Renaissance artist Rafael.
