Description
English: U.S. Navy aircraft from Attack Carrier Air Wing 6 (CVW-6) in flight during a sortie over Vietnam, in 1968. Visible are (r-l): three Ling-Temco-Vought A-7A Corsair II of Attack Squadron 82 (VA-82) "Marauders", two McDonnell F-4J Phantom II of Fighter Squadron 102 (VF-102) "Diamondbacks" and three F-4J of VF-33 "Tarsiers". All squadrons were assigned to CVW-6 aboard the aircraft carrier USS America (CVA-66) for a around the world cruise including a deployment to Vietnam from 10 April to 16 December 1968.
