Description
English: MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. � Pfc. John W. Topping, single-channel radio operator with 8th Communication Battalion, II Marine Expeditionary Force, reinforces a grounded wire, which channels its excess electrical currents into the earth, by adding water during a recent exercise, Oct. 10. Topping and other Marines assigned to 8th Comm. play a vital role maintaining communication links between commanders and combat units. The communications unit is scheduled to deploy to Iraq beginning early next year.
