Description ARABIAN GULF (July 30, 2014) U.S. Navy Lt. Karsten Hain, Combat Logistics Battalion 22, 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), dental officer and native of Reed City, Mich., pins Lt. Cmdr. Kurt Michaelis, 22nd MEU chaplain and native of Panama City, Fla., with his Fleet Marine Force qualification officer pin aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5). The 22nd MEU is deployed with the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group as a theater reserve and crisis response force throughout the U.S. Central Command and the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
