Summary[edit]

Description The U.S. Navy light cruiser USS Fargo (CL-106) firing salutes on 15 June 1946, upon her arrival at Gibraltar for a tour of duty in the Mediterranean Sea. The photo was taken from USS Providence (CL-82). Note the floater nets stowed on top of Providence's Number Two 152 mm/47 gun turret.
