Summary[edit]

Description
English: A U.S. Navy Douglas A-4C Skyhawk (BuNo 147745) of Attack Squadron 15 (VA-15) "Valions" landing on the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS Forrestal (CVA-59), 25 June 1968. The puff of smoke shows that the tires have made contact. However, the tailhook of the A-4 has not yet caught one of the cables across the deck. The Forrestal was in the Atlantic Ocean, near Jacksonville, Florida (USA).
