Description
English: Insignia of the U.S. Navy destroyer escort USS Pettit (DE-253), in 1943. It was designed by a crewman and it shows the Disney characters Hughie, Dewey and Louie. Walt Disney approved and personally added the final touches on the symbol. The three fellows are throwing over a depth charge, using binoculars, and wearing earphones.
