Description The U.S. Navy aircraft carrier USS Ticonderoga (CVS-14) arrives at Tacoma, Washington (USA), for scrapping, circa 1975. Ticonderoga had been decommissioned and stricken for disposal on 16 November 1973. She was sold to Zidell Explorations Corporation, Portland, Oregon (USA) for $601,999.99 on 15 August 1974.
