Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Insignia of the U.S. Navy destroyer escort USS Ulvert M. Moore (DE-442). This plaque probably dates from the mid-1950s. At that time, it was common practice for U.S. Pacific Fleet destroyers to make ship emblems by adding a ribbon with the ship's name to the insignia of her squadron. The central part of this plaque is thus the regular emblem of Escort Squadron 3 (CortRon 3).
