Description
English: 130618-N-PD773-102 SOUTH CHINA SEA (June 18, 2013) A Royal Malaysian Navy Super Lynx lands on the flight deck of the littoral combat ship USS Freedom (LCS 1) during deck landing qualifications. The Super Lynx helicopter, call sign RENTAP, is the first foreign helicopter to ever land on Freedom. Freedom is in Malaysia participating in Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) 2013. CARAT is a series of bilateral military exercises between the U.S. Navy and the armed forces of Bangladesh, Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Timore Leste.
