| Description |
English: Built in 1937-1938, this Art Deco-style building was designed by Louis A. Simon to serve as the United States Post Office for the St. Louis suburb of University City, Missouri. The building features a buff brick exterior, limestone trim, limestone cladding at the center of the front facade, steel-frame windows, a stone base, decorative fluting at the top of the parapet, Art Deco-style urns flanking the central entrance door, and aluminum entrance doors with a decorative aluminum surround. The building remains in use as a Post Office serving University City. |
