| Description |
English: Built in 1920, this Gothic Revival-style building was constructed to house the congregation of University United Methodist Church, founded in 1910, which saw its congregation dwindle in the early 21st Century, and merged with the nearby Grace United Methodist Church in 2021. The building features a rough-hewn stone exterior, gabled slate roof, gothic arched stained glass windows, stone trim, a corner tower with pinnacles, gothic arched entrance doors, stone buttresses, an educational wing on the east and north sides of the building, and a buff brick modernist addition at the northwest corner of the building. Following the closure of the church, the building was acquired by Washington University in St. Louis. |
