Deutsch: Rottenburg a.d.Laaber. Unterlauterbach, Am Kirchberg 2. Filialkirche St. Peter und Paul.
Saalkirche mit eingezogenem Chor. Anlage des 15. Jahrhunderts, Mitte 18. Jahrhundert barockisiert. An der Südwand des Langhauses barocke Holzfigur St. Sebastian aus dem 16. Jahrhundert. Höhe 1 Meter. Sebastian war Hauptmann der Prätorianergarde am kaiserlichen Hof Diokletians. Der Heiligenlegende nach wurde er wegen seines Glaubens von numidischen Bogenschützen hingerichtet. Er wurde aber nur schwer verletzt. Nach seiner Genesung trat er erneut vor den Kaiser und wurde von seiner Leibwache erschlagen. Die Figur zeigt ihn mit dem Hut der kaiserlichen Garde. Er wird als Schutzpatron gegen die Pest und fliegende Krankheiten verehrt. |
