Summary
English: Urban Hjärne's crypt (or "Hjärneska gravkoret" or the crypt of Urban Hjärne) in Bromma church, Stockholm. To the left of the altar is Ambassador Johan Bergenhielm's funeral coat of arms (or funeral weapon) (1630-1704) and to the right of the altar is Ambassador Urban Hjärne's funeral coat of arms (or funeral weapon) (1641-1724). A third funeral weapon in the crypt is over Captain Samuel Cederström (1685-1719). The construction of the crypt began in 1690 and was finished in 1703.
At the bottom right of the picture is a baptismal angel in Urban Hjärne's crypt. This baptismal angel came to Bromma from Riddarholmskyrkan already in the 18th century. It is probably made by Gottlob Rosenberg. The year on the pedestal is 1722. The mussel shell is a medieval baptismal symbol.
