| Description |
English: The two-and-a-half-story brick apartment house at 115 West Avenue in Buffalo, New York stands nearly alone on its block, surrounded by urban prairie in this view looking from the corner of Maryland Street on a March 2015 afternoon. Though a desolate tableau as of this photo, the neighborhood was on the cusp of a wave of gentrification that would see all of these vacant lots occupied by new buildings before the decade was out: the 58-unit, erroneously-named Allentown Square Apartments opened to tenants in 2017 on the plot of land to the right of the house, with the Campus West Apartments sandwiching it in to the left three years later. |
