Description
Català: Gravat del frontis dels Usatges de Barcelona e constitucions de Catalunya (Barcelona, 1495), sense il·luminar.

Cal comparar aquest aquest gravat ab el frontispici del nostre volum I. Allà hi ha aquesta matexa estampa ricament miniaturada, reproduhida del singular exemplar dels Usatges que's conserva al Arxíu General de la Corona d'Aragó. Aquest exemplar, que degué tenir el valor d'exemplar oficial del nostre capdalt recull legislatíu, presenta la plana colorida del frontispici executada damunt matex de la estampació en negre del boix gravat; de manera que, per transparencia, pot vèures perfectament la impressió, que'l miniaturista no feu sinó interpretar en colors, modificant en molts llochs el dibuix, com es pot veure, sobre tot, en la ornamentació de la faxa superior, ocupada pel soli reyal y'ls escuts dels quatre pals, a part y altra.
