Description
Nederlands: Het Korps Commandotroepen kreeg het vaandel op 22 december 1955 uitgereikt. In 2002 werd het doek vernieuwd.

De opschriften zijn:

Arakan 1944; Arnhem 1944; Nijmegen 1944; Eindhoven 1944; Westkapelle 1944; Vlissingen 1944; Djokjakarta 1948; Midden-Sumatra 1948 – 1949. Commando’s voeren in kleine eenheden speciale opdrachten uit bij verdedigings- en crisisbeheersingsoperaties. In 1942 volgden de eerste Nederlanders de Britse commando-opleiding in Schotland. Hieruit ontstond No 2 Dutch Troop, de eerste Nederlandse commando-eenheid. Bijna gelijktijdig ontstond in de Oost het Korps Insulinde. Dat voerde acties uit in de Indische eilandengroep, die toen bezet was door Japan. Deze eenheden zijn de voorlopers van het Korps Commandotroepen (KCT), dat in 1950 werd opgericht.
