Summary
[edit]DescriptionValletta Campus Library.jpg |
English: The Library holds a unique and rich collection of anthropological and social science works acquired by the Library in 2011 from Sir Jack Goody. The University of Malta Valletta Campus Library knows its beginning
since 1954. It was the original setting for the main Library of the then known Royal University of Malta, run by the first qualified librarian of the University, Dr Joseph Cassar-Pullicino. In 1967, the Library was transferred to the new University Campus at Tal-Qroqq, Msida. However, the Library at the Valletta Campus, served as an information centre for the Foundation for International Studies until the 1990's. After that, it fell into disuse until 2010 when the University of Malta decided to refurbish and renovate the whole Valletta Campus, together with its Library and it became the Library as we see it today. |
