Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The main building of the Valley River Center in Eagle River, Alaska. The Valley River Center was an ambitious development initiated by Wally Hickel, which was doomed by its opening during an economic downturn and by Eagle River's status as a community of commuters working in Anchorage proper and the area's military bases, who preferred to shop at established shopping centers in Anchorage. The cinema at the south end of the development was demolished and most of the rest of the development was converted to office space.
