Coat-of-arms of the Várdai family

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The Várdai (sometimes Várday, de Kisvárda) family, emphasizing its close ties to the other families of the Gutkeled clan, almost always used the red-white Gutkeled coat-of-arms in small variations. These are verifiably in use by both Pál Várdai (Bishop of Veszprém in 1521, Bishop of Eger in 1526, Archbishop of Esztergom in 1527) and Ferenc Várdai (Bishop of Vác in 1509 and Bishop of Transylvania in 1514).
