Description
Català: Vas de Tanit, detall de la deessa, l'Alcúdia, segles II - I aC. Museu Arqueològic i d'Història d'Elx. La tenalla anomenada "vas de Tanit" mostra una decoració dividida en dos camps: un secundari amb tiges i flors, i un altre principal amb la imatge serena de la deessa amb ales, en posició frontal però amb el cap de perfil. vesteix una túnica acampanada i guarnida amb una flor de quatre pètals i associada als canonges i una vegetació exuberant. A la cara oposada es representa una au d'ales desplegades que s'enfronta amb un carner de fauces obertes, tema recurrent en l'estil il·licità, tal vegada representacions de la vida i de la mort en actituds violentes.
