Description
Deutsch: Auf diesem Foto sind drei Zugstrecken zu sehen:
  • Die Oswaldschleife (links), eine eingleisige Strecke die die Verbindungsbahn mit dem Bahnhof Wien Meidling verbindet. Die Rampe wurde wenige Monate bevor das Foto aufgenommen wurde neu gebaut, als die Pottendorfer Linie zweigleisig ausgebaut wurde.
  • Die Pottendorfer Linie (mitte), eine Strecke von Wien nach Wiener Neustadt, die im Jahr 2023 zweigleisig ausgebaut wurde.
  • Die Badner Bahn (rechts), eine zweigleisige Stadtbahn die zwischen Wien und Baden verkehrt.

Zwei Züge sind auf diesem Foto zu sehen:

  • Ein scheinbar neuer ÖBB NightJet Zug auf der Oswaldschleife, der von einer generischen Siemens Vectron Lokomotive in Richtung Wien Meidling gezogen wird.
  • Eine Badner Bahn vom Typ 500 in Richtung Wien Oper.

Im Hintergrund:

  • Das Kabelwerk, eine Wohnhausanlage in Meidling (Wien).
English: On this picture there are three railway routes:
  • Oswaldschleife (to the left), a single-track railway line connecting the Verbindungsbahn to Vienna Meidling train station. The ramp had been rebuilt a few months before this picture was taken when the Pottendorfer Linie got its second track.
  • Pottendorfer Linie (the center tracks), a railway line from Vienna to Wiener Neustadt which was converted to double track in 2023.
  • Badner Bahn (the tracks to the right), a double-track light rail service connecting Vienna to Baden.

There are two trains on this picture:

  • an apparently new ÖBB NightJet train on the Oswaldschleife, pulled by a generic Siemens Vectron locomotive in direction of Wien Meidling.
  • a type 500 Badner Bahn train in direction of Wien Oper.

In the background:

  • The Kabelwerk, a residential complex in Meidling, Vienna.
