Verny Park, a beautiful seaside park in Yokosuka City

| Description |
English: Verny Park located in Yokosuka, Japan , is a beautiful seaside park near JR Yokosuka Station designed with French style gazebos, flower beds, fountains, and a long promenades, named after a French naval engineer François Léonce Verny under the Tokugawa Shogunate(徳川幕府, Tokugawa Bakufu) administered the construction of Yokosuka Naval Arsenal in 1865. The park includes the '“Verny Commemorative Museum”' built in appreciation for his great achievements. A huge steam-hammer originally made in Holland and then imported to Japan from France in 1866 is exhibited at the museum.
