De kunstenaar heeft de identiteit van de gemeente onderzocht en een verzameling gemaakt van de spullen die tot het cultureel erfgoed van de gemeente behoren landkaarten, ansichtkaarten, prijzenkasten enz. Maar ook de naamborden van de elf dorpen, die hangen achter elkaar aan de buitenkant van het gebouw. Op de website www.verzamelingverzamelingen.com staat de volgende omschrijving: In plaats van het creëren en het toevoegen van een nieuw kunstwerk,richt 'Verzameling Verzamelingen' (Collectie Collecties) zich op de bestaande culturele activa van de gemeente Dantumadeel en de Van Sytzama Stichting. De oude als meer recente activa werden verdeeld in twintig collecties en gepresenteerd met veel zorg en de samenhang in en rond de gemeente Dantumadeel. Als geheel vertegenwoordigen deze collecties culturele identiteit van de wijk.

Het kunstwerk is in 2018 niet meer zichtbaar aan de buitenkant van het gebouw.
