Summary[edit]
DescriptionVictor Harbor railway station, late 19th century (HSW WD17656).jpg |
English: Victor Harbor railway station, late 19th century. People are waiting for the train from Adelaide, hauled by an H class locomotive, to come to a stop. The station building is a wooden structure that was replaced by a substantial brick building in the 1920s. Of note is the spelling of the station as "Victor Harbor" – the spelling of the town gazetted in 1914. Later, the South Australian Railways spelled the name with a "u", both on the station and in timetables, and it remains so to the present (2021). |
