Victoria Adelaide Mary Louise (1840-1901), known as ‘Vicky’ to her family, was the eldest child of Queen Victoria.

Image description: line drawing; an infant in long dress, in profile looking to the viewer's right. She is held by a woman whose face is mostly obscured. At the right of the image is part of a bird-cage on a table, with a small bird inside the object of the baby's attention.

Inscriptions: bottom centre, "Victoria"; bottom left "V.R. del & sclt = 2/22 1841" [Victoria Regina delinit et sculptit.]

This print was acquired by the museum in 1932. Note the impression of the printing plate on the paper, which is stamped "V.A.M." outside the print area. The paper is bordered by a similar-coloured mask.
