Summary[edit]

Description
English: Victoria Memorial Hall was built in memory of the Empress Victoria, the idea was carried forward by Lord Curzon and the Prince of Wales laid the foundation stone in Calcutta, India in 1906. The memorial is built of the material Makrana marble, which was back then brought in from Rajasthan, a state in India. The memorial is built on the Indo-saracenic revivalist style.
