Description |
The image shows a flooded street in Adelaide, after copious rains throughout May, June and July in 1917. Adelaide was subject to extensive rain and gale force winds that winter, especially in July. There was considerable damage and flooding in the Hills and beach suburbs, particularly Grange. The River Torrens poured over the weir.
