Description
English: Tail-piece to the first book of Samuel. 1 Samuel 30:17. Vignette with the ephod and turban of a Jewish high priest against a sword and a staff, a Hebrew inscription emanating light in clouds above; letterpress in two columns above and on verso. 1793. Inscriptions: Lettered below image with production detail: "P. J. de Loutherbourg del ", "J Landseer Aq Forti fec" and publication line: "Published 4 June 1793 by T Macklin, London". Print made by John Landseer. Dimensions: height: 474 millimetres; width: 380 millimetres.
