Description
Français : Cette vue, réalisée en 1575 par le peintre clermontois François Fuzier, a été reproduite dans de nombreuses publications, dont "La Cosmographie Universelle de Belleforest" en 1575. Il est le plus ancien document connu donnant une description assez complète de la ville de Clermont. Les monuments, les portes, les rues et places principales sont figurés avec une relative précision. Selon le catalogue des plans de Clermont de Manobert Vivien, "le peintre se trouvait placé à Montjuzet ou sur l'un des premiers ressauts de la côte. On distingue en effet au premier plan Saint-Alyre et le château de Bien-Assis. La vue est réellement perspective, si bien qu'il est possible d'en tirer un plan à peu près exact, au moins dans ses grandes lignes.
