Description

In der Morgen-Ausgabe der Kieler Zeitung, Dienstag, 15. Oktober 1912 zu lesen: „Der riesige Findling, der im Frühjahr bei Straßenbauten in Kronshagen gefunden und eine kurze Strecke vor der Stadtgrenze am Kronshagenerweg als Gedenkstein aufgestellt wurde, hat folgende Aufschrift erhalten: Jahrtausende lag ich in nordischem Land, Jahrtausende darin hier im Gletschersand, Nun bin zu neuem Leben ich erwacht Und geb´ auf dieses Orts Gedeihen acht.

Es erfolgt ein Ausbau eines großen Areals (Kieler Straße, Villenweg) mit Villen im Landhausstil mit Garten überwiegend nach Plänen von Carl Mannhardt (1876–1914), der schließlich .
