| Description |
English: Corona around moon or sun resulted from light diffracted by waterdrops in the clouds. Each drop diffracted the light in the surface of a cone. From each cone a person only views the light which reaches his eye. As all cones have the same opening angle, the light one sees seems to come from a ring. So coronae have the form of rings around the moon. |
