מילאנו (באיטלקית: Milano (מידע · עזרה); בניב מילאנזי: Milán; בלטינית: Mediolanum) היא העיר השנייה בגודלה באיטליה לאחר רומא, והעיר הראשית בצפון איטליה. מילאנו נמצאת במישור לומברדיה, שהוא האזור המאוכלס ביותר באיטליה, מילאנו היא גם בירת המחוז. בשנת 2005 עמד מספר תושביה על 1.3 מיליון. באזור העירוני סביבה מתגוררים כ-4.5 מיליון איש, ובאזור המטרופוליטני המורחב - 7.5 מיליון איש (המטרופולין החמישי בגודלו באירופה, אחרי מוסקבה, לונדון, פריז וחבל הרוהר[1]).

מילאנו היא מרכז תחבורתי חשוב; היא מהווה שער לצרפת, לשווייץ ולהרי האלפים. כמו כן, היא מהווה מרכז אופנה ותרבות חשוב באיטליה ובאירופה כולה.

את העיר חוצים הנהרות אולונה (Olona) ולמברו (Lambro), שזרימתם נסתרת, וערוץ נהר סווסו (Seveso).
