Description
Srpski (latinica): Plavne šume i priobalna područja duž reka, pored toga što su izuzetno značajna za mnoge vrste organizama, one predstavljaju i tampon-zonu u kojoj se zagađena voda iz reka samoprečišćava. Takođe su vrlo značajne u periodu sezonskih kiša jer upijaju višak vode i samim tim smanjuju snagu matice i sprečavaju poplave. Na slici se nalazi plavna šuma vrbe (Salix sp.) i poljskog jasena (Fraxinus angustifolia) na levoj obali Karlovačkog dunavca.
