Description
English: The original illustration of Vokesimurex cabritii (Bernardi, 1859)[1]; the Cabrit's Murex; published in the text "Description d'espèces nouvelles" in the french Journal de Conchyliologie. 7(3): 301-303. ["1858"; March 1859]. The species lives in the Southeastern United States and the Gulf of Mexico and was named in hommage of M. Cabrit, of Bourdeaux, owner of a very fine collection of shells where a magnificent series of Murex shines above all.[2]
