DescriptionVollgriffdolch von Döttingen.jpg |
Deutsch: Vollgriffdolch von Döttingen (Braunsbach, Landkreis Schwäbisch Hall). Bronze, Länge 40 cm, 1900–1700 v. Chr. (Kupferzeit bzw. frühe Bronzezeit). Landesmuseum Württemberg, Inv-Nr.: 12736.
Classification: "The dagger from Döttingen with its six rivets, and possibly the decoration of the hilt, line bands bordered by dots, prove an influence of the Rhône type. The blade of this dagger, however, is genuinely Aunjetitz decorated, as the large triangle of line bands indicates. Similar to the daggers of the Swiss type, this dagger must be a hybrid form that originated on the periphery of the distribution area of both dagger types.", from: Die frühbronzezeitlichen triangulären Vollgriffdolche by Otto Uenze (1938), p.33
