Am Fuße der Steigung 1: 18 steht die kleine D-Feldbahnlokomotive und kann nicht mehr. „Warum kommen Sie nicht hinauf?" fragt der Übungsleitende auf seinem Schlachtroß den Gefreiten auf der Maschine." „Die Steigung ist 1: 18, Herr Major!" „Das ist ganz egal, und wenn sie 1:1000 ist, — Sie müssen hinaufkommen!"
