Summary[edit]

Description
Nederlands: In 1820 werd onder impuls van priester Lodewijk Vincent Donche en Gravin Regina della Faille een werkschool opgericht in Vorselaar, waar in de eerste plaats handenarbeid werd verricht en catechismusles werd gegeven. Vanaf 1870 werd het eigenlijk klooster gesticht en uitgebreid. In 1903 werd het oude klooster aan de Markt afgebroken en in plaats ervan werd een ruim nieuw klooster gebouwd met een zijvleugel voor de klassen van de in 1902 opgerichte normaalschool. De oude kapel die schuilging achter het gebouwencomplex werd in 1912 vervangen door een nieuwe, grotere kapel.
