Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Votive offering of the priest Nebnefer, showing a pair of crocodiles resting on a base decorated on four sides. Amenhotep III is identified with the god Sobek and the goddess Hathor. The front is carved in the form of the sistrum of Hathor and links Sobek to her, his wife in a version of his sacred faily, where Khonsu is their child. The hieroglyphics on the front display the king's throne name, Nebmaatre (The Lord of Truth is Re). The back shows two priestresses with sistra. The sides depic Nebnefer praising Sobek and the name of Amenhotep III.
