Description
English: A U.S. Marine Corps Vought F4U-1 Corsair is launched from the aircraft carrier USS Bennington (CV-20), in 1945. Marine Fighting Squadron 112 (VMF-112) "Wolfpack" and VMF-123 "Eight Balls" were assigned to Carrier Air Group 82 (CVG-82) aboard the Bennington in 1945. Note Bennington's geometric identification symbol on the Corsair.
