Description

Illustration issue de l'article "Voyage à la Grande Chartreuse", A. M. T., Annales des Voyages, de la géographie et de l'histoire, Paris, F. Buisson, 1809, tome 9, p. 224-233.

Le narrateur raconte que la Grande Chartreuse de Grenoble, située dans les montagnes, a connu huit incendies et des éboulements de rochers. Au beau milieu d'une forêt de sapins, de pins et d'ifs, elle est entièrement ceinte d'un grand mur. En aval elle possède une correrie où sont fabriqués les objets de première nécessité.

Ouvrage appartenant à la Bibliothèque historique du ministère de l'Agriculture, déposée à la MRSH Caen.
