Nederlands: Batak Wichelboek En Toverstaven (A-1389)
hout, boombast. One of the eldest Batak books used for augury and sorcery. The text is written on treebark and is about sorcery and fortune-telling. The animal on top is probably Naga Padoha, the mythical female snake from the ancient waters. Her movements brought the earth to the surface of the water and thus the world came into being.
