English: The Western Naval Command Motorcycle Expedition was flagged off from Goa by Rear Admiral Philipose G Pynumootil, Flag Officer Commanding Goa Naval Area on Day six. The team visited INS Vikramaditya and Kadamba at Karwar and discussed nuances of asymmetric threats and coastal security with the crew. At the end of the day, the team made a pit stop at Mangalore for maintenance. On Day seven the team interacted with locals and discussed issues related to coastal security enroute to Indian Naval Academy (INA) Ezhimala. At INA the riders interacted with the staff and trainees and visited Mount Dilli lighthouse. The expedition was flagged off from Ezhimala by Rear Admiral Puneet Chadha, Deputy Commandant, INA on Day eight. |
