Description
English: Troops of the Wehrmacht, the military forces of Nazi Germany, marching in the Rådhusgata Street in Oslo, Norway in April 1940, during the first month of the German invasion and occupation of Norway in World War II. The soldiers are equipped with greatcoats, side caps, steel helmets, Karabiner 98k rifles, field gear, etc.

Norsk bokmål: Foto fra Rådhusgata i Oslo i april 1940, under den tyske invasjonen og okkupasjonen av Norge under andre verdenskrig. Marsjerende soldater fra Wehrmacht, det nazistiske Tysklands militære styrker, inntar og besetter hovedstaden. Soldatene er blant annet bevæpna med Mauser-geværer (Karabiner 98k-rifler), er kledt i side frakker, båtluer og høye støvler, har stålhjelmer og feltutstyr. Gravearbeid på kontraskjæret til høyre i bildet. Forbipasserende ser på. En flokk gutter på fortauet ser ut til å følge troppen.
