| Description |
English: The outgoing staircase platform in the mezzanine of the Wakefield-241st Street Elevated Railway Terminal over White Plains Road at the intersection with 241st Street in the Wakefield section of the North Bronx, New York City. The station is the northern terminus of the  train in New York City, and this is one of the two side exits from the platform. Besides the standard MTA Helvetica "No Entry" sign above the staircase, there's also a non-standard white and red (white sign with red lettering) sign along the side that says "Wrong Side." Since the station is not only the northernmost station on the line, but geographically the northernmost station in the entire New York City Subway system, it would be inappropriate to call one exit of the other northbound or southbound exits. Compared to the view of the exit from the circular turnstile, this view is only available after you pay your fee and before you walk up the center stairs to the platform between the tracks. |
