Description
Deutsch: Katholische Pfarrkirche Sankt Emmeram: Chorbogen. Inschrift in der Deckenkehle:TU ES-SACERDOS IN AETERNUM SECUNDUM- ORDINEM MELCHISEDECH (=Du [Christus] bist ein Priester ewiglich gemäß der Ordnung Melchisedechs), darunter, in einer Kartusche, das Lamm (=Christus), liegend auf dem Buch mit sieben Siegeln (s. Neues Testament, Offenbarung des Johannes: Nur das Lamm kann das Buch öffnen, wodurch die von Johannes geahnten Ereignisse der Endzeit in Gang gesetzt werden). Hier hält das Lamm außerdem eine Auferstehungs- bzw. Siegesfahne – bei dem Lamm, das über dem Tabernakel dargestellt ist und welches ebenfalls auf dem Buch mit 7 Siegeln ruht, fehlt diese
