| Description | Feldsteinkirche in Wallstawe etwa aus dem Jahre 1250, Turm um etwa 1500 erbaut. Ursprünglich hatte dieses Gotteshaus "St. Katharina Kirche" geheißen, im Zuge der weitgehenden Entchristlichung der Bevölkerung des Altmarkkreises in Sachsen-Anhalt zu DDR-Zeiten wurde der Kirchenname profan in "Dorfkirche" umgewandelt. Ursprünglich umgab die Kirche ein Gottesacker (Friedhof), dieser wurde profaniert und nachfolgend als Schulhof genutzt. Nach Verlagerung von Schule und Friedhof wurde aus dem einstigen Gottesacker eine Rasenfläche. Foto aus 08-2014. |
